| Aplastic or hypoplastic anemia |
It is a condition where bone marrow does not produce sufficient new cells to replenish blood cells. The main treatment for aplastic or hypoplastic anemia is a bone marrow transplant. However there are also effective cases of conservative treatment. |
| Hodgkin's disease |
It is a type of lymphoma (cancer originating from a type of white blood cells called lymphocytes), characterized by the orderly spread of disease from one lymph node group to another, and by the development of systemic symptoms with advanced disease. Patients with early stage disease are effectively treated with the treatment programs accepted in Armenia.

| Chronic myeloleukemia | It can occur at young ages. There are huge achievements in the field of CML treatment. In the past the treatment for the patients was bone marrow transplant. However, in modern leucosology novel agents have been developed, which are very effective. This new methods of treatment are also used in Armenia. |
| Acute leucosis (leukemia) |
It is a blood disease characterized by the rapid increase of immature blood cells. This crowding makes the bone marrow unable to produce healthy blood cells. BFM (Berlin-Frankfurt-Manster) is one of modern methods of treatment, which is successfully practiced in Armenia for more than 14 years and results to 70% recovery. |
| Thalassemia |
It is an inherited autosomal recessive blood disease where the genetic defect results in reduced rate of synthesis of one of the globin chains that make up hemoglobin. Reduced synthesis of one of the globin chains can cause the formation of abnormal hemoglobin molecules, and this in turn causes the anemia which is the characteristic presenting symptom of the thalassemias. The treatment for patients with thalassemia mainly is bone marrow transplant but also includes chronic blood transfusion therapy. |
